I ordered this to use for Thanksgiving. I totally forgot I had to throw our old one out and this was delivered really fast.
This item is:
• Sharp
• Easy to hold
• Works great
• Is long and user friendly
• Shaved all of the lemon peels off the lemons
My only complaint is that these take some time to clean in general, but that's with any of these. I soaked it in some hot soapy water and was able to get the peel off without too much work.
Overall, this is a well-made, sharp, and easy to use microplane. This is a must have, multipurpose too everyone needs in their kitchen, in my opinion.

A few minutes = a pile of fluffy zest!
After many years of making lemon bars, this is by FAR the best tool I've ever used for the job. I love that it seems to shave instead of tear the rind. It was nearly effortless getting the zest off of 8 lemons - I mean it was almost fun! Of course that means it's sharp. I did manage to scuff my hand lightly. No damage, but if I had to use harder pressure because the tool wasn't efficient I would've likely hurt myself. I checked for the patent number and found it on the blade before opening the package. It's the real thing. Amazing zester/grater! Would make a great gift for anyone who loves making things in the kitchen from scratch. I don't know why it took me so long.. I'll never use another one.
